Night Owl HD for PC

It used to be working well, but it was slow to connect. It keeps failing to connect. The last update occurred in 2018. The app needs to be updated.

It works much better since I received the Android 8 update. It seems to be using up most of my battery power lately and it keeps going in the background.

We won't recommend it, because if you have an older camera, the app will not work. It's almost like they want to sell you a brand new version.

It is frustrating and unpredictable. Then it stops working. Then it stops working. It doesn't work for days, then it connects. Then it reconnects. This review is overdue. I'm going to get a brand new system.

I cannot view my cameras unless I am connected to the internet. This is useless. It says that the dvr cannot be viewed over another internet connection. It won't let me switch wifi on or off. UPDATE SYSTEM DISABLES TO WORK AND WONT CONNECT WITH THE APP I'VE BEEN USING. Worst Software I've ever used

It worked if you were connected to the same WiFi. But doesn't connect if on different network. My phone used to allow me to see the content on 4G or my home WiFi. It's not working anymore. It is not clear if there has been any change to the app that would cause it to cease working on a different network.

If you are experiencing problems connecting to your camera remotely from your home, it is likely that the issue is at their end. The problem is on their side and they're working to fix it quickly. It's a mystery to me why they didn't post a message stating this. I will inform you all.

It's hard to know what I should say. Maybe Nightowl used to be decent 5 years ago. You can no longer connect to the app without being on the same network. They also discontinue camera models within one year, making it useless for other cameras. This is why I switched systems twice. Nightowl was a mistake that I regretted, but it wasn't the end of my relationship with them.

It worked great for many years. Now it doesn't work because Google considers it less secure and won't allow any mail through onless it's something they control. I'm going drop google like rock once I discover an email application that I control.

Remote viewing is possible. It works. I could view the cameras from my home network, but I did experience problems when I was away. After a complete system reset that didn't produce any results, I was almost ready to give up. Although cameras work well, you cannot connect to the app to view your camera. I recommend that you stay clear of the apps and research the best app for you cameras.

Poor. My phone disconnects every time I go out of my home. Rarely will my phone reconnect. This was so that I could monitor things. It's almost impossible.
